Welcome
image Welcome to my on-line home. This is my personal website. This is my way of staying connected both to those whom I know and with those I have not yet met who may share similar interests. In my professional life, as a Pastor and Educator, I am concerned with Social issues, Theology, Philosophy and History. I offer via my Blog site and other web sites (i.e. DayStarLife.org, and MissionIdaho.com), my comments and information related to these and other topic areas. In my personal life, I am concerned with Family History, as well as Welsh History/Heritage. My hope is that these web pages and Blog will be both useful and serve as the starting point as you begin your search for deeper information on these topics. The resource page contains links to books and other resources to which I often refer.

Personal Coat of Arms

Variation
On John Calvin's Coat of Arms
Calvin's coat of arms, a hand holding a heart, is testimony to his dedication to Christ and his self-sacrificial spirit. It is encircled by his motto: Cor meum tibi offero Domine prompte et sincere = "My heart for Thy cause I offer Thee, Lord, promptly and sincerely."
I have added the Latin motto “Instaurare Omnia in Christo” (German - “Alles in Christi erneuern”). The various interpretations of this motto are: 1. “Restoring everything in Christ” 2. “Founding everything in Christ” 3. “Renewing everything in Christ” (from the German). The motto today would carry with it the ideas of: summing up, uniting, joining, founding and founding again – everything in Christ. The Cross, first of all, symbolizes my dedication to the Cross of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:1-23). Secondly, it is a Welsh Cross, symbolizing my Welsh/Celtic heritage. The Flaming Heart is presented in much the same way as John Calvin originally intended. I would add the emphasis of a darkened Heart, one that is Totally Depraved (Romans 7:15).
